Hi all. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.

up until the weekend I was running my virgin SH 3 in modem only mode, on 200M package  (200 Mb download speed). I have a Deco M9 connected via Ethernet, talking to 2 other nodes. Testing prior to turning the SH to modem only had both delivering around 200Mb speed, but the Deco was far superior at distributing.

i upgraded the virgin to M500 package over the weekend. During the upgrade it looks like virgin auto reset the router, so the SH was in both modes again. Setting the SH to modem only caused a huge drama (system hung), and virgin had to reset again.  It is still on both modes.

now, when I'm in the same room as the SH, with the Deco attached I'm getting around 450 on the virgin router wifi, but only around 200 on the Deco. The only physical difference is before I had the deco cabled in port 3, now it's in port 4 (as virgin advised that's the only one that should work..)

anyonehave any ideas why the deco is limiting speeds?

TIA

@iandb

It looks like you may need to increase value of QoS parameter to match your new Internet speed. There is TP-Link FAQ article on that topic: Using QoS feature of Deco

@TP-Link

ok, not sure how to check that?

but looked into QoS - that was absolutely the issue, was set around 210. Now updated and hitting 500+ near the main deco, and strong distribution through the other nodes.

really appreciate the help, good stuff.
