Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Instead of connecting Deco P9 main unit to the cable modem with ethernet cable can I connect it using a pair of powerline adapters TP-PA7020? I know TP-PA7020s do not support backhaul but can they exist in the same power network with Deco P9?

My cable modem is located in a separate work room away from other rooms. The plan is to connect cable modem to one TP-PA7020, then put other TP-PA7020 in a living room and connect Deco P9 main unit to it. Then put other two Decos around the house to get wifi working in every room. Since it is a big house the powerline backhoul between Decos is also needed. Would this work?

@tok

Hi,

It is not recommended to use the following connection and it would be much better to Deco P9  to the cable modem:

Cable modem----cable---TL-PA7020~~~~TL-PA7020—Deco P9

And TL-PA7020kit could exist in the same power network with Deco P9;

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
