Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

In case the wifi gets switched off due to some reason - tapo cameras c100/ c200 will not auto re-connect to the same (known) wifi, where it was registered. Manual reset is difficult as the cameras are mounted high. Even it that is done - I have seen for 6 separate devices, they are unable to find the known wifi. Even after re-scan or manually enterning the wifi name/ password the devices dont reconnect. I have spoken to tech team who gives wired solutions like unistall/ reinstall ->relog in the Tapo app.But finally they accepted many devices have connectivity issue.

Network connected to is 2.4GhZ.

@bsayandeep

Hi,

Were you trying to say that once the host network was down and recovered later, Tapo cameras could not re-connect to the host network and stay offline?

How many cameras do you have and would all of them have the same issue?

Would unplugging the power adapter and plugging it back restore the connection?

Have you tried to reserve the IP address on these cameras on the home router?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
