Issue Description/Phenomenon:

Some customers may report that they can see the received SMS message numbers on the LTE router web interface Basic > Network Map page as well as on the Advanced > SMS > Inbox page, however, they cannot read them. See the screenshot attached below.

Note: Sending SMS messages from the router web page does work properly.

Available Solution:

If this is what you are experiencing on the 4G LTE router, please install the following beta firmware, then monitor if the issue is gone:

Archer MR600_V1 20201204

TL- MR100_V1 20210104 

Archer MR400 V4 20210622
M7000 V1 20210327

Archer MR200_V4_20210201(official firmware)
TL-MR6400_V5_201207(official firmware)

If the issue still exists after installing the above beta firmware, please contact the tech support engineers via email (support.forum@tp-link.com), or leave a comment on the topic with the following information:

1. Who is the SIM card carrier?

2. Does the SMS work fine if you insert the SIM card into a phone?

3. Test with another SIM card from another carrier if that is possible to confirm if the issue persists.

4. Attach the router log when emailing the TP-Link support (find and save the log file in Advanced > System Tool > System Log).

More than 1 year without solving the problem in the updates. We are sold for bug and vulnerabilities with a "confidential, test only" version.
The router was charged to us as a complete product. Send me one for free and I'll be a beta tester for you.

Hi @Kevin_Z, I tried installing the beta firmware for my MR600 v1 device and it created issues for my VPN connection. I am using GlobalProtect and the official firmware nor the other beta firmware version 1.1.0.0.9.1 v0001.0 build 200417 rel.75138n did not create issues with VPN.

I also tried resetting to factory default with the beta firmware from your post but it did not solve the issue.

What the hell is wrong with you, TP-Link people? Why is this STILL not included in the latest firmware for the MR600 v1? I have the same exact problem. The "beta" firmware fixes it but it is NOT fixed in the latest firmware which includes security updates. Really, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? It's been a couple of years!

  @Sunshine Thank you for your reply and sorry for the tone of my previous message. The firmware I was using was 1.3.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210608 RC.66100n and I have the Archer MR600 v1 00000001. I have now installed the firmware you linked to and the text messages are visible.
