  @Kevin_Z

Hello

I ordered new Router and Acess Point - TP LINK Router Archert C20  (AC750) V6
I see Archer C20 (AC750) claims that it gives:
300 Mbps  (2.4 GHz)
433 Mbps  (5 GHz)

But all Archer C20 (AC750) ports are 100 Mbps.

I see that Router Speed is capped at 100 Mbps :(
By Lan Cable i have 100  mbps :(
By WiFI i have 100  mbps :(

I tried another Router and it works gives 300 mbps.

My ISP gives 300 mbps
The cables are CAT6.

I am confused.

How can i have 300 Mbps  (2.4 GHz)?
And what can i do with this confusion?

Thanks,

Anatoly

Thanks for your question   @Anatolyg .

300 Mbps  (2.4 GHz)/433 Mbps  (5 GHz), that are the WiFi speed or link speed from the specification, which are does not mean actual internet speed.

At the bottom of the Archer V20 Overview page, you may know more.

Or it is suggested to read this article

As your ISP provides 300 Mbps and the Ethernet ports of this router can only be up to 100 Mbps,  you may consider to return this product and purchase another one to make the most ISP speed.

@Dip_sbmc

What is the model number of the front-end modem connected to the Internet/WAN port of the AX23? Please make sure the modem and its Ethernet port are functioning properly by connecting a computer or another router to that port and verifying you can get a constant 1000Mbps speed.

If the modem and port are confirmed to be working correctly but the AX23 still negotiates at 100Mbps, can I know how long is the cable between the AX23 and the front-end modem? If possible, please try a shorter one.

  @Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

I've already tried to ude either the 2,5gbps port or the 1gpbs port on my Archer 72 Pro. I've defined the port negotiation speed to 1000mpbs, but when i do so i simply lost the internet connection.

I've tried cables 5e, 7 and 8 always with the same result. Using the same cable setup and changing the router for a Huawei OptiXstar K562e it automatically changes the port velocity from 100mbps to 1000mbps.

I've tried everything to solve this, but unfortunately wasn't possible

@DiogoAbreu

Can I have the model number of the front-end modem to which the AX72 Pro connects?

Will it automatically negotiate at 1000Mbps if you connect a computer directly to that modem? Thank you.
