  @David-TP is proud to have responded after 5 almost years.

He promised it was fixed in 2023. NO

He promised it was fixed in 2026. NO.

Customers are angry and STILL waiting for a fix.

I tell everyone I can about this issue and recommend against buying  TP-Link mesh systems.

Sadly, many other TP-Link products are very good so it's hard to explain to people why the mesh systems are badly broken and not fit for purpose!

  @Mark-R

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

Could you please refer to this link to help me submit a Deco App feedback:

How to submit Deco APP feedback

Please also try to include a simple layout of your current network topology, such as:

Before this feature is officially released, the engineer might help me provide a workaround first.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

  @Diabl0 five years have passed and this is still not an option. This is absurd.

  @TP-Link @Diabl0 Easy solution. Just before throwing my 3 Decos in the trash, I confirmed that the BUG still exists. TP-Link still call it a feature request! It's a BUG

I bought an ASUS AiMesh for under $2K and have confirmed that the wireless LAN operates when the connection to the Internet drops.

I do note that after 5 years a CS ? Rep finally reported that there was a fix and then immediately retracted. Not YET available to the public!

Just buy a brand other than TP-Link. TP-Link mesh networking is not fit for purpose and all buyers should request a refund.
