  @TP-Link  i just updated a couple of 2021 firmware M5 to 1.6.1 (what was offered) and it wont offer the 1.7.1 update

is there a way to force them to check ?

  @David-TP Before downgrading I tried enabling ECO mode on Deco but set to "Power mode - Normal mode". Since then no more disconnects. Could be some bug while ECO mode is disabled on Deco?

  @betelgeuse

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

Since you have 4, I would suggest picking one M5 first and downgrading it back to 1.6.5 via firmware recovery, then connecting the smart lock to this M5 and checking whether it helped with the disconnection and battery drain.

If everything went back to normal, we could consider downgrading the rest of them.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

I'm experiencing constant disconnects and battery drain with Nuki SmartLock 3.0 Pro since updating my M5 network (4 devices total) to 1.7.1. How do I downgrade to my previous flawlessly working 1.6.5?

  @CenterInYou it looks like this update is slowly available via OTA, the best way to update quickly is to download it from TP-Link support and update manually.

I was also able to update successfully using available firmware on the French TP-Link support page.

OTA did not show any update.

I still have more disconnection notifications than I had with 1.6, even after disabling IOT network and put back devices to main network.

Even if it is really better since I disabled IOT network, looks like IOT network can cause some trouble.

A bug I have is disconnection of Chromecast with Google TV 4K when enabling IPv6 (bridge mode) but I did not test with previous versions and I'm going to change my ISP so going to test with the next one which might allow me not to use bridge mode but might allow to have a delecated prefix which could be better IMO.

  @xQuantum what's the latest firmware you are using right now? I can see in the UK site it's 1.6.1

I regret buying the high end M9 Plus instead of buying the cheaper most supported M5 lol. This device is crazy in terms of updates, M9 Plus is newer, more expensive and yet the last to get new updates from TP-Link, this is the first time I see this in my entire life, usually the high end device is more supported than the cheaper options, right?

I have auto updates turned on so the deco's will download the latest firmware automatically when available but somehow it didn't and was showing 1.7.0 as the lasted build, now successfully download the 1.7.1 build and manually updated each Deco, Thanks tor the heads up, I will keep a eye on the Deco support page for future upgrades instead.
