Does anyone getting wifi speeds slower than what is coming to the main Deco after 1.6 update?
For example, if I run the Speedtest inside Deco App (which means that is running directly on Main Deco), I get almost 700mbps. However, when testing in any device connected via 5ghz, I only get 480mbps.
I've tried in 2 devices (a smartphone and a notebook with Wi-Fi 6 AX adapter). I've 2 Decos connected with backhaul using cat5e cable, and a third Deco connected to the closest one. When testing, I was close to one of those 2 decos running in backhaul.
Is there any configuration to improve the speed when connected via wifi?
Thanks in advance!
Marcelo

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
I do have some confusion and hope you could help me figure them out:
1." some slow responses in Wi-Fi, although speed tests show otherwise" if the speedtest says the wireless speed is normal and why do you think the wireless network is still slow? because the video/auto live streaming is always delayed or buffering or something else?
2. Since you mentioned the signal source selection, Do you mean if all the satellite Deco units are linked to the main Deco, the living streaming will be much more smooth?
3." my network as a whole works terribly", can you give me some examples, like the above video/audio live streaming?
Sorry if I have asked about too many details otherwise I only knew the new firmware is not good but I could not explain to engineers in which situations it behaves bad, and they are also unable to reproduce the same issue on their side.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@TP-Link I have a Deco X20 as Main Deco (router) and 3 Deco M5 as AP.
The firmware on the M5's is 1.5.7, but it does not show the 1.6.0 update.
The X20 is on firmware 1.5.1
What can be the issue?

@TP-Link Ok, my network as a whole works terribly. 3 days after the update.

@TP-Link I suspect this happens more when the satellite Deco is connected to another satellite Deco as a signal source instead of to the main deco.

@TP-Link after the update I'm also experiencing some slow responses in wifi, although speed tests show otherwise.
In addition, when streaming audio on my mobile, it is not continuous so I have to move to cell network.

Hi, Thank you all for your messages.
Please refer to the following information.
1. JanRekenaar,1.6.0 does not need a beta APP version to be able to detect the new firmware.
The IOS APP 2.13.3 used to be a beta version to collect the APP log for another particular problem.
2. Jonnyyy, The 1.6.0 firmware link is suitable for V1/2/3/3.2.
3. Since the senior engineers are very concerned about the feedback about this new firmware if you do notice any issue with the upgrade, please do email support.forum@tp-link.com(Please add forum ID-274402 1.6.0 feedback) with details before reverting back to 1.5.7 so that we can help you check what happened as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

@TP-Link why is it taking too long for the 1.6.0 firmware version to be released here in the Philippines?
Can I just manually upgrade it, if you could send me a link for a firmware for my devo m5 with v3 hardware, since when I am clicking your link it only shows 1.5.7
And I needed badly to update my deco m5 since most off my devices are being connected to the farthest deco I have which defeats the purpose of having a mesh routers

Read @ post #348.
Yes you can't downgrade using ordinary web update GUI.
You must use tftp and recovery procedure from tplink knowledge base.
