  @David-TP

Thank you for your reply.  Frustrating to hear that M9 plus users are not covered by the update.  I find the wifi connection slow for the M9 plus 3 meshes.  A very inefficient costly product.

  @Wizman Hi, Deco M9 plus is not included yet.

JanRekenaar It can not be downgraded back to 1.5.7 either, like beta 1.6.0.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP so the last time TP-Link responded to beta test findings, not that long ago, there where lot's of major bugs unresolved. Will this release big a big-bang-release? If I install this 1.6.0 when it is there, are there options to roll back to 1.5.7?

  @janoosti

Hi, It will be a newer version that includes fixes based on feedback on 1.6.0 beta.

 As for the release date, actually, I see the official firmware 1.6.0 is ready but the internal software review process has not been finished yet.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

@TP-Link What exactly will be released? I assume a newer version that includes fixes based on feedback on 1.6.0 ?
If exactly this version will be released, without any fixes on top of 1.6.0, then what is the whole point of a Beta?

Hi, thank you all for the time and patience. All the replies in this post will be viewed daily and normally I am reluctant to make statements for future plans since I could not guarantee everything is expected. But it is clear that the firmware will be released this year.

The latest news is that It is planned to be released at the end of next week and as mentioned before, we don't tend to delay the firmware and keep users holding on again and again. Please take the date as a reference and make proper decisions.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @brooklyn27

a couple of further comments.

I'm not talking about making open wrt standard

 I'm just saying support the Development of an alternative in  getting it going. V3.2 hardware support is not available in the gpl downloads for instance.

it's not a warrantee issue as most people who would want that are more expert users who are already out of warrantee and are the ones pushing in the forums for firmware updates.

example access point mode is used by many as we have more complex networks. Without a  vlan on a guest network there is no way to separate guest users and we certainly don't want the device in router mode.

Why should we need to constantly re optimise
