  @dneto  Thank you very much for the feedback and please refer to this link for more details:

Since you followed the M5-1.6.0 in this thread, I believe your model is M5 and it uses HomeCare security service,  which is not included in the post on Reddit.

Hi there, Follow-up: following total power down and up of the entire home, the disconnects and speed have resolved themselves.

@TP-Link Just upgraded to 1.6.0 Build 20220307 Rel. 60666.

Getting frequent WI-FI disconnects (every few minutes) and internet upload speed has halved.

Previous beta firmware was fine.

Any thoughts?

@Billmanakos unbelievable. When does 1.6.0 will be stable. In 2023? This can't be serious that TPLink makes only a big bang firmware update instead of multiple agile small updates throughout the year.

No way that I am installing 1.6.0 when they release it. It will be a mess. @TP-Link

  @TP-Link

There are still some issues with the latest firmware 1.6.0 20220307 Rel. 60666

1. The admin page ( 192.168.68.1 ) does not allow logins after 2-3 days, restarting Deco makes the login page work again.

2. Smart Devices are not available after 2-3 days, restarting Deco makes the smart devices available again.

3. VPN Connections through Wifi are laggish, connecting through WiFi with 802.11ac > 500Mbps and with internet speed  100/10 filetransfer  goes from 355kbps to 2Mbps maximum. Connecting same device using Ethernet cable to any satellite Deco (Satellite Decos are connected Wireless with the main Deco) filetransfer goes from 4Mbps to 9Mbps.

There are many things to do from your side in order to give as a stable trouble free Firmware.

  @alexfmachado

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Once you have updated to 1.6.0, it is not able to roll back to the previous 1.5.x official firmware version.

As for the reported link, it has been brought to our senior engineers already  and they are working on this issue now. Since Deco M5 did not use HomeShield security service and your model will not be included in this link.

  @TP-Link Could you clarify us?

TP-Link routers and Deco Wi-Fi mesh systems caught sharing traffic with third-party vendors

I received a link reporting this issue, but I can´t share it here.

  @TP-Link I'm interested in trying out this Beta firmware update for my M5. Quick one - is it possible to revert back to factory settings if required?
