  @budgie29

Hi, the original 1.7.4 EU version number has been taken for something else so a new version number was created.

Then 1.7.5 EU version has been removed to further optimize the Parental Control feature.

Currently, 1.7.6 is the latest EU version.

Your time zone should be GMT+11:00 and it seems to be the right time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you very much and Best regards.

Hi all, Ive got a mesh network with 5x Deco M5s on (3x V3s and 2x V3.2s)

All decos running 1.7.3 Build 20230906 at the moment, the perfomance hasnt been great since the 1.7.1 update (see ALOT earlier in this thread). Since im in the UK presumably I would be downloading the 1.7.4 firmware if I was to go down the manual upgrade route, the firmware download page looks like it would be Deco M5(UK)_V3_1.7.4 Build 20231222?

Is the stability of the system improved at all? My android phone seems to require a disconnect then reconnect to make the Wifi stable again at the moment, this wasnt the case before 1.7.1 (going over old ground again!).

Also would i need to do the upgrade manually on each one via each units web interface presumably using the V3 file for the V3s and the V3.2 file for the others?

Cheers all.

  @David-TP

Are there any workarounds or ways to get the Deco S4 to support connection preferences to another Deco? I was told long ago the update would be coming, but I don't know if it was a lie to placate me or what but there doesn't seem to be any sign of it. As such, I wonder if there is any way I could just get this feature. You are generally helpful on here so I don't know why things have turned out like this, it's a shame.

Can I force the firmware somehow, or anything else?

Thanks.

  @ConcernedUser

Hi, Nice to see you again.

May I know the hardware version of your Deco S4?

If it is on V2, you could try the beta firmware here:

Deco M4/S4_V2 Support Connection Preference

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP 1.6.1 20231228

Thank you for the link to the beta, however, as it is a beta, can I expect instability and other issues? I wouldn't want this to end up being a downgrade on my S4.

Can I ask why an official build has been taking so long, and if indeed it is ever coming? If the plans have been scrapped, I would much rather be told that, than be led on in the hopes it will come.

  @ConcernedUser

I'd recommend posting these questions in the S4/M4 thread as this one is for the M5 to avoid confusion.

  @CenterInYou Ah my bad. I think I might have posted there and not got a response? I'm not sure anymore. To be fair I do have the M5 too, I think support for both the M5 and S4 is dropping off a bit now.

Hi all, I've just looked now and my deco app suggests there is an update available for my m5 network:

1.7.8 build 20240719 Rel 70981

Has anyone updated to this yet? I'm a tad hesitant to blindly update considering the fun we've had in the past with stability etc...
