Bought my Deco X20 about 1 month ago. Mostly seem fine.

However, one of them seems to go offline randomly. Only that particular one does that, others are fine.

It happens about 3-4 times per week. I can't find a specific situation to trigger it going offline.

 

When it goes offline, iPhone app will show it going offline.

Closing and re-opening app still shows offline status for that particular X20.

 

The device still show green solid light when app shows it going offline.

No other wifi device will connect to it, they'll connect other Decos in the network.

I tried to PING it (ping to the previous IP address of that Deco), and the device still responds.

Opening the web page on the MAIN Deco will show that device offline.

Opening the web page of that particular Deco will show a blank tp-link page but no status at all.

 

Unplug and replug the power will fix the problem, but it'll happen again the next day.

Tried performing a reset on that Deco, then re-add. Still same problem.

 

Any ideas??

I have messaged you the MAC address privately.

 

 

 

Currently it is running on ethernet backhaul.

 

Previously, it's connected to a powerbar which powers my main computer, I'm currently trying to see if a aging power bar (>20 years old power bar) could cause a unstable power to the Deco.

 

I tried a different outlet today, and waiting to see if that solves the problem.

Unfortunately, randomly going offline still happens.

Same symptoms as before.

 I'm going to try another power adapter, and if it still does the same thing, then I may need to replace that particular one.

Unfortunately, replacing the power adapter did not help.

That particular unit still go offline after about 1 day or so.

Cannot seem to find a solid reason for doing that.

 

I guess I really need to have that unit replaced.
