  @AlinPCK

Ive recently built my own router using OPNsense with adguard and Wireguard for VPN... the Deco's have now be changed to AP only mode...

the options in opnsense are huge... albeit very daunting to deal with, but with a little (ok a lot) of help from Claude AI... I've got a fully fledged router with many more options than the Deco's ever had.

The app is a great front end for a quick and easy setup, i agree, but for users who prefer to use a computer with a larger screen to configure thedevices or dive deeper into things like router logs, i think it would be great to enhance the web UI to cater for those needs. Yes, remote access on the app is great but for power users, they could remote acces the router using Open VPN.

@TP‑Link,

>>Unfortunately, there is no plan to add these features yet.

An easy‑to‑use mobile app does not excuse deliberately removing the Web UI. TP‑Link already has a maturely developed web interface on its previous products, so keeping it would not hurt usability.

I suspect the reason for its removal is to push everyone toward the app and promote subscription‑based services instead.

This is disappointing. It feels like profit has taken priority over user needs, even though many customers are asking for this feature. Their approach appears arrogant and unresponsive. I have been using TP‑Link products for more than twenty years, and this will be a reason for me to change. I plan to return my Deco 3 pack and switch to another brand. Perhaps in an alternate reality TP‑Link would still be considered reliable.

Thank you for listening.
