Does TP-Link make any outdoor-rated smartplug with energy monitoring ?

I would like to monitor the energy usage of my water softener, which is located outside. I specifically want to be notified if it fails, in which case the power draw goes would go down to zero. I have hard water, and having the unit fail for any length of time is hazardous to my plumbing. I believe I can use HomeSeer to do this monitoring in combination with a Kasa energy monitoring plug, such as the KP115, which I own. But the KP115 is not rated for outdoor use.

The KP400 is outdoor-rated, but lacks energy monitoring.

@Solla-topee Somehow, I don’t think any firmware updates or app change is going to make existing plugs waterproof.

@madbrain sorry wrong post vefore. We got your idea with the outdoor plug now, currently I do not see this in the roadmap so far, we will record it first. Any user has simiar leave your comment below or leave your idea in Kasa Feature request board, more similar request helps with the feature evaluation.
