  @Kevin_Z Thankyou for your reply yes I am now connected thankyou. I'm now concerned that doing the 100mbps full duplex I won't be getting the max performance this router offers. Any thoughts??

@Axel1999ca

Thank you very much for the follow-up, and I'm glad to see the internet works after changing the Internet Negotiation Speed to 100Mbps Full Duplex.

Can I know what is the bandwidth you paid for the internet?

BTW, I have just updated my original thread that you can connect the Starlink Gen 2 Ethernet Adapter to the 1Gbps WAN/LAN port instead of the 2.5Gbps, then log into the web GUI of the GX90 to configure the 1Gbps WAN/LAN as the WAN/Internet port, you will be able to connect to the internet.

Please let me know if this helps or not.

  @Kevin_Z I am new to this thread but I am setting up a Gen2 Starlink with a TP Link Archer 6000 what seems to be working.

I do not have any switches, just the Starlink and the TP Link router,

Regards,

Brent

@Brentpr

Sorry, my bad.

Have you tried to change the Internet Speed Negotiation to 100 Mbps on the Archer AX6000? Isn't that working?

After changing the negotiation speed to 100 Mbps on the AX6000, will the router get a WAN IP address from the Starlink Gen 2 adapter? Can I have a screenshot of the WAN/Internet page?

You may also try the beta firmware we provided in the original post to observe if that makes the router connect to the Starlink adapter:

Recently purchased an Archer AX6000 to use with a Starlink Gen 2; posting this information in case it might be of assistance to others.

Starlink Details

Standard Starlink for Standard service plans, as the dish supports typical household internet applications. The High Performance can be used with Standard service as well and is a good fit for customers looking for faster speeds in extreme weather conditions and in polar regions.

The router included with High Performance Starlink does not come with a built-in Ethernet port. However, there is an Ethernet adapter available for purchase on the Starlink Shop to allow for a wired connection to the network. If you need more than one port, a network switch can be connected to the ethernet adapter. Alternatively, included is a RJ45 cable for direct hardwired connections to the power supply which can be used to connect alternative routers for wired network set-ups.

Location: Northern Ontario, Canada

Service: Standard mode (High Performance not yet available)

Adapter: Ethernet Adapter (purchase direct from Starlink)

Dish Type: High Performance Rectangular

Network Topology

Starlink Gen 2 (in Bypass Mode) -> Starlink Ethernet Adapter (V2) -> Archer AX6000 (WAN) -> TL-SG1024DE -> EAP670

AX6000 F/W: 1.3.0 Build 20221208 rel.45145 [Archer AX6000(CA)_V1_221208.zip]

TL-SG1024DE F/W: 1.0.0 Build 20210512 Rel.40781 [shipped, newer than website: TL-SG1024DE(UN)_V4.26_20210412.zip]

EAP 670 F/W: 1.0.3 Build 20220316 Rel. 51997(4341) [shipped, newer than website: EAP670(CA)_V1_1.0.2 Build 20220210.zip]

Observations

As part of standard troubleshooting procedures (Windows): Clear web browser cache, IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS (CMD.EXE)

AX6000 [f/w 1.3.0 Build 20221208 rel.45145]: am able to obtain an IP Address from Starlink but unable to resolve any website (DNS or IP) regardless of web browser when the WAN port is set to: Auto, 2.5Gbps, 1.0Gbps.  Am able to resolve websites when the WAN port is set to: 100 Mbps.

In the event that WAN connection is interrupted (power outage, disconnected, router restart, etc.), unable to resolve any website (DNS or IP) regardless of web browser when the WAN port is set to: Auto, 2.5Gbps, 1.0Gbps *and* 100 Mbps.

To regain connectivity, I have to perform the following sequence: Release WAN -> select 1.0Gbps -> Renew WAN -> Release WAN -> select 100 Mbps -> Renew WAN.

AX6000 [f/w 1.3.0 Build 20230303 rel.35566(4341)] - Archer AX6000_V1.0_230303 (Updated on Mar 15, 2023): ax6000v1-up-ver1-3-0-P1[20230303-rel35566]_starlink_beta.zip): am able to obtain an IP Address from Starlink and resolve websites (DNS or IP) regardless of web browser when the WAN port is set to: Auto.

@hgagne

Very detailed and clear description.yesThis definitely helps others to learn from your setup and other Starlink customer could benefit a lot for your sharing.

Thank you very much for sharing all the details with the community and I'm happy to see the AX6000 works fine with the provided beta firmware.

  @Kevin_Z,

Will TP-Link be releasing a non-BETA version of the firmware for the AX6000 in the near future?

Thanks,

@hgagne I honestly don't have an answer for whether or when there will be a new official firmware to address this concern. But I will update the thread once there is one.
