Port Forwarding on VDSL TD-W9970 modem Router

This modem router does not appear to have Port Forwarding capability (though it does have Port Triggering capability) which I need in order to run my own web server & own VPN. Am I correct?

If you are looking to run a server, then yes you would need to have Port Forwarding, Port Triggering would not suffice. In terms of VPN, its depends on where you wish to terminate the VPN? Some routers have a built in VPN server and can do this without port forwarding.
