DHCP address reservation does not work correctly.
DHCP address reservation does not work correctly.
After a reservation was successfully made for a device with for example ip address 192.168.1.5, then when you return on a later moment to the address reservation menu, the reservation has been changed to ip address 192.168.0.5
I would really appreciate to hear how this can be solved
Regards Youp

Problem Description
After the address reservation/port forwarding was successfully made for a device with for example IP address 192.168.1.5, then when you return to the configuration menu at a later moment, the reserved/forwarded IP has been changed to 192.168.0.5. Or when you disconnect the client, renew the IP address, and connect back, the clients get another IP address rather than the one reserved on the Deco APP.
Available Solutions
1. Please make sure the firmware is up to date.
1) For Deco M4R/ S4/ E4R/ M5/ M9/ X55; Deco X68/X3600/W7200;Deco XE75/XE5300/X90, the latestfirmware has fixed this issue already.
2)For other models, please refer to the following firmware:
Deco X60-V1 | Deco X60-V1-build20210618 |
Deco X60-V2 | Deco X60-V2-build20210618 |
Deco X20-V2 | Deco X20-V2-build20220112 |
2. If your models are not included, please comment below first, then try the following suggestions:
1) Please change the LAN IP range to something out of 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.3.254, such as 192.168.68.1.
2) If your LAN IP has to be in 192.168.0.x-192.168.3.x, please change the Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0.
Note:
1. Please check the device label to verify the country code and hardware version of your device first, and choose the correct file to download and install.
2. Be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding!

@David-TP this worked for me. I had been wondering why my computers at home kept losing connection to my wifi printer, despite me having reserved an IP address for it. Turns out we're using 192.168.1.nnn for our LAN IP, and the address reservation in my Deco x90 (ax6600) was reverting the printer to 192.168.0.125 and then not actually applying this to the printer at all after a router restart.
I've applied the beta firmware and the address reservation looks fine now. Can you give me a link to a list of what's changed in the new beta firmware 1.1.2 Build 20220518 Rel. 68743?

Hi, Normally the beta is based on the latest official firmware and only adds the fix to the address reservation/port forwarding bugs, would not add more new features.
Best regards.

@David-TP Hi, I met with the same situation with deco X90(1.0)+JP. I would like to try the beta version firmware for the resolution, however, I think the published version may be inapplicable to my deco because of the different country code. I sent the feedback as your comment, and I am looking for trying JP beta version firmware. Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the community.
The beta firmware is suitable for the JP version as well, not just for the EU version.
Best regards.

Although this thread is old, I would like to report that version 1.1.4 Build 20230714 Rel 2881 got the problem back on my X20.
I attached a screenshot where one reservation is ok (the one I created before updating to latest version this weekend) and 3 reservations that are wrong and that I created ffter the update. Since I bought my X20 new last week, I have no record of what version I had at the time of purchase.
Regards, Eric.
