  @David-TP

It would be great to get an official release of the 1.6 firmware for the m9 plus.

I rely on my wifi for working from home so would prefer non-beta firmware if at all possible.

  @gabardine Thank you very much for your email.

 @HopSaSam  nice to see you again.

As for the release date, actually, you might see I mentioned several times that no ETA could be guaranteed. If there is, I am sure it will be updated here without hesitation.

Since the beta firmware has been tested for a while and the final round of testing will be completed soon as the engineer replies, the official firmware is on the way. So if the feature you are urgently needed is supported in the beta version, please use the beta firmware first while waiting for the official version. If it is not even supported in the beta firmware, It might not be supported on the official one either. If after installing the beta firmware, the network performance got downgraded and you could temporarily revert back to 1.5.6.

Thank you a lot.

Best regards.

I currently own 7 Deco 9M plus units but also looking into other brand to replace these. Maybe we can share some suggestions here! I was looking into the lastes Google Mesh routers. They update their devices as needed. Any suggestions from your side?

  @HopSaSam

did it... don't think it will help much though...

I'm currently looking into other brands to upgrade to a wifi 6e/7 mesh network.

Other b.s. like not being able to select a wifi channel for deco's is "ok" / not the biggest issue for consumer usage

but not bringing simple fw updates while the cheaper version is already having all the features (for i don't even remember how long) is crazy.

And not even reply on your own community forum is insane!

Feedback from the lazy TP-LINK support and developers...

So, no commitment at all.

And they mention "Soon". 2,5 YEARS after the previous release.

Can you all please request these people when they will release 1.6 for Deco M9 plus? When much people request for it, it could speed up things: zoe.ma@tp-link.com and ives.lin@tp-link.com

---

Dear Customer,

We cannot confirm the exact timing, the testing department will need to complete a complete series of tests to confirm that there are no general problems with the released firmware. If all goes well, the final round of testing will be completed soon.

  @kbwang @David-TP

For sure they abandoned their M9 Plus.

I've been participating in the beta testing of 1.6 and finally they stopped doing anything.

So, dead promises, only cashing money without customs support.

Frankly, the firmware support has been bad ... There's no CVE patches nor improvement of the products. E.g USB It's unlikely that I will go back to TP Link ...

Please provide us some insights. Getting no info from TP-Link at all is a bad sign...

  @gabardine

That's exactly the same feeling I have. I thought the upgrade would give me more but it looks like it's a downgrade. Very strange tactics TP link uses. It's like buying a more expensive car from the same brand but receiving less.
