My DECO M9 plus v2.8 would only show a max of 500mbps download when speed testing through the app. Had to downgrade back to 1.5.6 for it to correctly get the speeds over ethernet again.

I started getting the 500mpbs "cap" right after installing 1.6.0 beta. Tried all the QoS 1000mbps stuff and no QoS. Only thing that fixed it was going back to 1.5.6.

how did you reverse back to ver1.5.6? mine is HW ver 1.1. Can I just use web browser and upload ver 1.5.1 to reverse back without using any recovery utiliy?
Thanks

@disableDHCPplz
My experience has been that the cap has been there since atleast 2020 which ever software was on it then as mine has never run at full speed, reset the units swapped them round etc nothing worked. If I use the ISP supplied router I get over 900mbps. Seems Tp-link have deeper problems. I've now lost automation settings on the decos since I updated the beta.

Any info if this update is still in development? Or is this beta version the "final"
After "upgrading" the home network from m5's to m9's it feels more of a downgrade since a lot of features are gone now.

That's exactly the same feeling I have. I thought the upgrade would give me more but it looks like it's a downgrade. Very strange tactics TP link uses. It's like buying a more expensive car from the same brand but receiving less.

@David-TP
Please provide us some insights. Getting no info from TP-Link at all is a bad sign...
