Notification when power goes off

Dear Tapo,

 

Could you please implement a function in the Tapo app that once a device is offline, we will receive a notification?

Sometimes the power goes offline and my cameras too.

We would really appreciate if you could implement this feature.

If your power is off, then so is your internet connection that would be used to send notification.

Yes that is true, but sometimes the power goes off here only on a certain group.

We have a system with 3 groups in the fuse box.

And even in the situation you appoint, it is handy to receive a notification if internet is offline.

Because now I don't get any notification from that if I am on holidays for example.

Thank you for starting a feature request, currently  there's a feature to allow a notification when the Tapo camera  goes offline, this feature is usually supported on the router end. 
As far as know some Wi-Fi system/ router has the offline notification for connected network devices, 
So you may check if your router has this feature, for example on TP-Link Router's using Tether APP or TP-Link Deco unit using Deco APP has Device Offline alert

It’s a must.

Whatever the power or the Internet connection are down, the app should notify that the camera is not available.

And the same with every device, e,g, smarts plugs.

D-Link smart plugs does it; so, I guess that the cameras also will do the same.

This should be an out of the box feature, not only for Tapo, but also all Tether devices.
