Official Wi-Fi Routers Support WireGuard VPN Now
VPNs have grown a great deal over the past few years, and as a result, we have seen an increase in demand for alternative VPN options on TP-Link routers. WireGuard VPN could be one of the most popular VPNs that we are seeing in the public community and forums. We are excited to announce here that we do have some router models that support or plan to support WireGuard VPN feature, and there will be more in the near future.

For other models that are not listed above, there is currently no definitive information if WireGuard VPN would be possible or be available in the future, and we don't have any specific details that I can share around. It's suggested to keep an eye on the official website or on the router web GUI/Tether app for any new updates.

What about the AX11000?
I paid about 400 euro for it, and this cheap AX55 V1, sold for about 80 euro, does support wireguard
Why is that ?!

and for over a year now, the ASUS RT-AX88U, which is almost the same in terms of capacity (except that there are only 2 wifi bands, not 3), has supported wireguard. I don't understand why it's taking so long to bring wireguard to the AX11000.

Hi, as far as I know, there will be a new firmware for AX53 V1 soon which will add ethernet backhaul and also wireguard, once there is any firmware or beta firmware available, I will update the original post.

looking for Wireguard to be implemented in DECO x50 poe. Its a shame is not available since Wireguard became the standard protocol. another shame is that Wireguard is indirect available via Surfshark and Nordvpn, only. Im wondering if there is an agreement to look out other vpn company. Bad luck fpr people using cyberghoast.
