Solution Deco X50-Outdoor Won't Reliably Connect to the Mesh after 1.2.1 Firmware Upgrade

Phenomenon Description:
After updating Deco X50-Outdoor to 1.2.1, some users might notice their Deco X50-Outdoor randomly went to flashing red and Deco APP reported it was no longer connected. Occasionally, it came up solid green and started working. At this moment, if you checked the Mesh Backhaul type on the Deco APP, it only connected to the nearest Deco via 2.4 GHz, instead of 2.4/5 GHz.
Solutions:
The Official firmware 1.2.3 and above has fixed this issue already. Please make sure your firmware is up-to-date.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.
I checked the troubleshooting record and the beta firmware is already available. Several users have tested it and it seemed to fix the disconnection issue.
Later I will check with the engineers to see whether the beta firmware is ready to be uploaded to the community.

@David-TP thank you!! That would be awesome if I could get access to this soon (today? ;-)) as not having the update has sent me backwards in terms of features I was previously using across my network (my other XE200/X75 Decos have all been upgraded). Thanks!

@David-TP Yes - that seems to have worked perfectly (Deco is connected on both 2.4 and 5 bands)! Thank you!
One question - what is difference between 1.2.0 and 1.2.1? Do both include IoT network as that is something I am keen to enable (but was waiting for the X50 Outdoor to get support).

Hi, welcome to the community.
The official firmware hasn't been ready yet so it might still need a while to be able to detect the firmware on the Deco APP. You could manually update the beta firmware via web UI though and the new official could still be detected on the beta version once it is ready.

Hi David,
This is getting frustrated. Installing a complete new IT WiFi infrastructure on the big house with medical clinic. Use Deco X50 PoE MESH.
I need to get access to internet on the terrace and bought Deco X50-Outdoor SSID Deco_3400.
It is not getting detected by existing MESH infrastructure. They are all connected through TP-Link PoE switch. Connection and cabling are correct and working.
When trying to add this device manually it is detected as a complete separate NW. It want talk to Internet, But comunicates via wifi with Deco App. I see a lot of people have problems and it is SW related. an not find any solution to try to Flash it directly. Since opening tplinkdeco.net does not work via eithernet cable???!!!
What is going on, and how do I get around this problem!!!

try adding the outdoor unit via wifi only, do not plug the ethernet cable yet, so you should use the supplied power adaptor first, placing it near other working deco mesh, after pairing it succesfully the. you can use the poe / ethernet backhaul
