  @Sunshine

thanks for the reply  ,

For the version of the router   > Hardware Version: Archer AX55 v1.0

EXTENDER >

the extender was working fine on TP LINK ARCHER C80 and also with ASUS RT-AX 57 , I did set it up exactly like it is recommended  , now it is not stable and it keeps showing the  message >  connection lost  for 2,4 ghz . i trtied with mesh and without mesh system , i am not sure if they are compatible .

VPN<

for the VPN part , i was just expecting something more than 50 MBPS   for speed , the router really let me down , i was using another router that gave me 70 MBPS

Yes i will try wireguard when and if it is pssible

Hi, thank you very much for posting on TP-Link Community.

1. AX55 V1 supports wireguard VPN already, but AX55 V2 does not, if it is necessary for you, please do confirm if it is V1 before purchasing.

You could also refer to this thread for models that supports or plan to support WireGuard VPN: Wi-Fi Routers that are Planned to support WireGuard VPN

2. AX55 and RE550 both support EasyMesh, so they are able to build a mesh network via wireless connection.

Hello , thanks for the reply, however I am deeply disappointed with the poor VPN speed performance with this router, I already tried another router and was getting around 70Mbps and now with tp link ax55 I can barely get 12Mbps, it's so absolutely a disaster a tell the truth

Hi, you are now using OpenVPN client, right? is your AX55 V1? If so, it is recommended to try WireGuard VPN to see if the performance will be better.

In addition, do you mean 2.4G LED on the RE550 is off? may I know how you set up the extender? via Tether App, web interface or via WPS?

If it was configured via WPS before, please try to set it up again via Tether App or Web interface, when connecting the router 2.4G WiFi, make sure the password is enterred correctly.
