Extending Wifi signal from Archer AX11000 to front gate CCTV Camera (80 metres away)
I just upgraded my Fritzbox 4390 router to a TP-Link Archer AX11000 router and also bought a TP-Link AX3000 EA650 Outside Access point. The router is installed inside my home and the Access Point is installed outside the house roof at the highest point facing the front gate. Except some trees, no other obstructions.
I need to install CCTV cameras at my front gate that is 80 metres away. With both router & Access point, my bandwidth is only hovering around @15 MBPS near the gate, from the @100MBPS at router site. From articles I read that AX3000 EA650 has a range of above 200 metres, not sure if thats true here?
Can anyone help me with the best way to extend the wifi signal string enough to connect a wireless solar 4K wifi camera 80-100 metres away (without hard cabling on the ground).
Some of the options I could read from Internet:-
. Install a directional Yagi antenna - But can we connect this to AX10000, if so how? How can a coaxial cable connect to the router. The antenna socket seems different?
. Is there any other way?
