Hi, the 5G NR module on Deco BE65-5G is similar to Deco X50-5G. The main differences are the Wi-Fi specification and supported software features.
The 5GHz external antenna interface on Deco BE65-5G is also SMA-F Antenna Port. If Poynting XPOL-2-5G works for Deco X50-5G, it should work well with Deco BE65-5G.
As we have not tested various 5G antennas, there is currently no reference point for network performance.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi Im interested in getting one of these to replace / update my X50-5g, I currently use the BE65 Deco's at home with EE Fibre, and get amazing speeds. What I am interested to know???? is the 5g on these able to be used as a back up connection? ie Fail-Over or Load Balanced??? would be a perfect solution if it can be used for Fail-Over and or Load Balance with my current BE65's. Very handy if our Fibre falls over... or re-routing less demanding traffic to free up the Fibre speeds.
I still use my X50-5g and found it to be a briliant 5g Router. I had wanted the X80-5g originaly, but was't available at the time. but been extreemly happy with my X50-5g.. playing online games 50miles out in Saudi desert and also most places around the UK. connect up to a 6db Omni-Directional External Antenna. raised up on a good mast. and get signal just about anywhere Ive been.

Hi David,
I recently upgraded my Deco devices from X50 to BE65 and I’m now considering purchasing the Deco BE65 5G to secure an internet backup option in case of fiber outages, which occasionally happen and seriously disrupt my work. I have a few questions about this device:
-
It seems the device became available in the EU around 2023, but it’s not listed on the official TP-Link website in Poland. This apparently means there’s no local technical support for it. Why is that? Will there be any issues with using the device in Poland?
-
Does the software of this device include an “Internet Backup” feature with options like Hotspot Backup Mode / 4G/5G Backup Mode / Hybrid Mesh Backup Mode, as described for the Deco X50 5G in this configuration guide?
-
As far as I can tell, the device is currently sold as version 1, and the latest firmware version is only 1.1.0. Are there plans to release version 2, and if so, when? Would it be worth waiting for it?
Since my main Deco unit is the BE65 and I’m now on Wi-Fi 7, I’d prefer not to build my network around the older X50 5G model. I’d really appreciate some clarification on these issues.
