Speed issues after switching to router mode - gigabit to megabit speeds
Hi,
I've changed my setup to use deco as main router, but am experiencing speed drops on LAN from 900+ to 90+ on my 2nd Deco, but the rest of the devices are still 900+
All wires cat6
Seems like it dropped from gigabit to megabit speeds
Attached the setup changes below.
When i change it back to setup A the speeds are back up again
WIFI speeds are still 500-700+ on iPhone/iPad/Apple TV around the house
Also tried marking device as high priority
Multiple devices connected to all switches.
Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3.0
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20230601 Rel. 37750

Hi, welcome to the community.
Have you also tested the wireless speed from the 2nd Deco X60 here:
I see you also used the TP-Link switch and can I have its model number?
Have you checked the Ethernet port indication? is it green or orange?
Since the 3rd Deco X60 could still get 900+, I think the ports 1+2 should be fine. Have you tried to connect the laptop and TV to other Ethernet ports of the switch?
Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP
Switch Model: TL-SG108(un) v6.0
Light is green
Tried switching ports around, still same speed. (Without switching ports, in setup A i was getting gigabit).
Tried deco to PC lan directly speed went up to gigabit. moved it back to switch and it went down again.
With setup A to Setup B, I didn't change any ports. took wire going from modem to router to modem to Deco and changed main deco to router mode.

@amornn Can you show screenshots of the mesh (how Deco are logically interconnected) in Router and in AP mode?
What is your QOS setting?

@David-TP Is it a good idea, in Router mode, to connect wired devices on a switch used for Ethernet backhaul?

@amornn I suggest testing with QOS disabled.
I do not understand how both satellite Decos could establish an Ethernet link with the main Deco. To me, it contradicts your network map.
