Deco X50-5G : how to permanentely disable wifi?
Hi,
I recently bought a Deco X50-5G
I have been able to connect throught LAN IP and access "advanced"->"System"->"System parameters" and disable WIFI.
The issue is that after a reboot of X50-5G WIFI is enabled again.
Is there a way to permanently disable WIFI network?

Hi, the WiFi Network on/off option applies to ErP compliant products. ErP is a European Union directive to improve energy efficiency and performance standards of products.
Products must comply with these criteria in order to bear a CE mark and be available for sale. Disabling Wi-Fi network will set Deco into the minimum energy performance.
It is actually not designed to disable WiFi.
Deco generally does not allow to disable WiFi completely and We have some models that support ECO Mode>Wi-Fi Schdule and it allows to turn off WiFi as scheduled.
Do you wish to use Deco X50-5G as a 5G bridge modem only?

I would also disable the Deco X50-5G (v1) WiFi completely and forever, even after a reboot.
In fact, I would like to use the Deco only as a modem since it is connected to the rest of the network via ethernet cable.

For 20 years routers allowed wifi to be disabled.
Please add this feature!
I wanted to use this device for fairs and events.
But they have strict rules which wifi networks can be in operation.
So this device is unusuable for me now.

Hi,
I just received my Deco X50 and don't even have the option to turn off the wifi. Any solutions to this? Seems to be a huge oversight. Please add this option with a Firmware update.

Hi, i also would like to know how to disable wifi on deco x50-5G.
I am using it as a 5G modem, and my wifi router is connected to it via LAN cable.
