Hello
I cant understand fully how the patrol mode works .
I set 2 markers with 2 min layover on each for patrolling all day.
I have set an activity zone when the camera was pointing to 1 of those markers.
the app says that the camera is in patrol mode, but it does not move between the markers i set.
I removed the activity zone restart patrol and camera still does not move.
how i can set an activity zone for each marker view. is that possible ??
I can not get a stable patrol mode, please can you help on how to setup patrol mode
i understand that has nothing to do with detection, alarm, recording and any other configuration.

Also about notifications in android
I can see 3 notifications categories in my android: verification miscellaneous and doorbell.
I set an alarm tone for all of them but still when i get notifications sometimes have the new tone and other have the old normal tone, why is this so unpredictable ??

Hi,
1. To enable the Patrol mode, you can go to the camera's Device Settings>Pan & Tilt>Patrol mode page, add the Marks Settings, enable Patrol Mode, then set the Patrol Mode Schedule, and the camera will move to the first mark position.
If you set layover 2 min for each mark position, the camera will monitor the position for 2 minutes, then move to the next position.
It's unable to set different activity zones for each marker view. If you have set the activity zone on the Tapo app for the specific detection type, the activity zone won't change on the camera's live view screen.
Is your case phenomenon that the camera won't move to the next mark position after staying at a mark position for 2 minutes?
2. The Notifications feature on the Tapo app can only be enabled to send push notifications to your phone, and it doesn't have the feature to set the notification alarm tone. The alarm tone issue you reported should be related to your phone's settings.

Seems that it took the phone some time to fully change to new tone for the notification. now all notifications tone are with the tone i set so that is solve.
But the patrol still not working properly, so far i notice this behaviour
sometimes the markers i set get modified automatically by the app, per instance i set 2 markers y reorder them and when i save i see that the 2 markers are the same (duplicated one of them)
sometimes i see in the camera view on top a bar that states patrol is on and sometimes this bar is not visible even still beign on patrol (schedule is always)
there is any feature request to add layover to less than 2 minutes per instance 1 minutes or even seconds ???

Also around of half of the time, the patroling is on, the patrol bar is not shown in screen and camera is not patroling is static, i switch off patrol and on again and the same camera still static and no patroling bar shown on screen.

and after restart several times suddenly the 3 different markers i have, 2 changed and now points to different location.
basically completely unrelialable...
would be possible to have a video call or how i can show all this issues, if i can not solve this i will have to return the camera ...

I have the same problem
Set the patrol mode to on and set 3 different mark settings with 10-minute layover.
No movement between the points at all!

Hi,
1. Have you shared your account with your friends or family members? Usually, when the "Patrol Mode is on" notice disappears on the camera's live view page, the camera's Patrol Mode is off.
If you have shared your account with other people, they may turn off the Patrol Mode, and then you see the camera won't move between the mark positions.
2. It's suggested to Start a New thread on the Feature Requests section if you want to add a layover to less than 2 minutes, we will log the feature request, and other users can vote or comment on your post.
