TP-Link Tapo D230S1 Wifi
Hello,
does with doorbell connect to the hub or to my AP; I want to place the hub inside the house and the wifi doorbell on my main entrance which is far away! There is an Ethernet port inside the house and Wifi access in the main door. Does the doorbell need to be close to the hub or just in the same LAN with internet/lan access;
TY,
M

Hi,
The Tapo D230 needs to connect to the hub to work, and the hub can connect to the router/AP via cable or Wi-Fi.

Hi,
If you have configured the Detection and Storage & Recording features on the Tapo camera properly, when the router is turned off, the camera video can still be stored on the microSD card inserted into the hub when the hub is powered on. However, please note your Tapo app can't access the camera locally and remotely since your router is turned off.
