Note:
1. *According to the user feedback and our further test, this 1.5.1 version does not support reverting to 1.4.1 via downgrade firmware recovery directly.
-Ever since 1.3.0, the firmware bin file has been over 32MB which passes the maximum file size of the HTTP uboot upgrade tool. So if you want to revert to 1.4.1, please refer to the following suggestions:
- Still run a firmware recovery on one of the satellites Deco X50 first.
- Try to upload an older official version, 1.2.2_Build_230301.zip for example,
- Then update to 1.4.1 from 1.2.2 via web UI.
- If this process works for the satellite Deco X50, We could repeat it on the main Deco later.
2. Please make sure the Deco APP is up-to-date.
3. Some features might not be available when there are other models in the Mesh network.

Hi, What are the model numbers of the Deco units in your Mesh system?
"protocol and connection speed and roaming transitions", I'm not quite certain what features you refer to.
Do you wish to know the Mesh Backhaul type(for example, Wi-Fi or Ethernet Backhaul), Backhaul connection speed(It is not supported yet) and connection preference(roaming transitions?)?
Best regards.

@David-TP Hi, I purchased it on my own.
I am just wondering if this model will also support Wireguard as I need it to connect all my devices to VPN.
Thank you!

Hi David. my X55 V1.0 automatically upgraded last night to the newest version of 1.5.1 Build 20240417 Rel. 52783, everything looked fine, however zero clients are able to browse the internet, they get Ip addresses, show in the client list, just have no access to the internet, this is across all devices connected to the deco, phone, laptops, tablets etc.
I can access the Deco via the app, the webpage for it is also accessible, however there are no earlier firmwares it will allow me to downgrade to, so i am stuck on the broken version.
Deco is in router mode, directly connected to my Vodafone UK broadband, its worked fine this way for ages, until this latest firmware update. the deco itself can connect to the internet and thinks everything is fine, e.g. check for firmware updates works on it, it just says its out of date.
Please advise.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi,
I have had the exact same problem. I saw that on the Deco web page that my CPU usage was 100% constantly.
I found a work around by using the Deco in AP mode. Hope that helps until its fixed... Luckily i'm not the only one.

Hi David, thanks for forwarding the case, looks like its not just me with the issue.
I have just managed to downgrade the firmware to the initial release by downloading v1.2 from this faq - How to use firmware recovery if the Deco become brick | TP-Link United Kingdom and connecting directly to the deco via method 2.
My deco is now back working and clients have internet, i will manually update to the 1.4 release as this was fine, and then turn off auto update until a new release comes out that fixes the issue.
@wesselkoning - follow the faq above, and you will be able to downgrade your firmware, it worked fine on my x55 going back to the 1.2 release via the emergency way of doing it by directly connecting the device and resetting it during boot up.
Cheers

Hi, Deco X50_V1.3 is planned to support WireGuard VPN if everything is intended. But the ETA is unclear.
The VPN server/client feature follows the main Deco so you could also consider adding a model that already supports wireguard VPN as the main Deco later.
Best regards.
