28cbb4078461450db3e3354c7dfcf244Hoping someone can help. Just installed this outdoor router, new out of the box, including the PoE switch, and cannot get any devices to connect to it.  The indicator light goes to the slow flashing green (isolated state per the installation booklet).

we had used this same model in the past (same location and set up) with no issues so I can't figure out why it won't work. It's connected to the PoE which is connected by cat5 to a router in the house.

we have tried the reset. The WiFi signal shows it is strong but devices cannot connect to it, even for me to be able to finish set up on the Omada app.

any other suggestions?

  @Savgar

check your network cable, try and connect the access point directly to the router with short patch cables that you know work.

That SSID is the one the AP broadcasts when it has just been reset and has no configuration yet.  Normally you connect to the SSID and then access the AP at its default address to configure it in standalone mode (so 192.168.0.2 maybe?).  Regardless, if the AP is NOT hooked up to a router that can hand out IP addresses, there is now wa for you to talk to the AP.  So, grab any router and plug the AP into it, now when you connect to the SSID, your client will get an IP from the same subnet as the AP was assigned one from.  Once you figure out what the IP of the AP is (usually by looking at the DHCP client list on the router) you can access it directly via this IP and configure it.

  @MR.S Thanks for this tip. I brought it to the house and was able to connect to the router and configure with cat5 patch cables. I'll replace the patch cable at our outdoor access point and try again.

You're welcome!  TPlink could certainly make it easier to figure things out, when they aren't working!
