BE550v1 - Don't work OFDMA + MU-MIMO and weak WiFi Signal.
Hello, i recently buy BE550 Router and i notice when i select OFDMA + MU-MIMO on WIFI settings, after refresh or after little time router alone switch to: OFDMA only. And after switching it i need restart router, because 6Ghz band is not visible anymore.
Also i notice 5GHz band has much stronger and stable signal than 6Ghz band.
6GHz band from 1 meter has between -43/-45 dBm but 2 meters from router jump between to -46/-59 dBm.
5GHz from 1 meter is stable -25dBm and from 2 meters -30/-32 dBm all parameters its of line of sight. And both 5ghz and 6ghz works separate on 160mhz with ax mode.

Hi,
If the OFDMA + MU-MIMO issue bothers you a lot, then you could try this fix. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/667844

Much more annoy problems after it.. if you wont restart router, a 6GH'z is not more visible. And the most annoy is the 6GH'z has more weak & unstable signal compare to 5GH'z.
I also notice other problems with usb storage and easymesh, but i will create other topic if support wont answer me at Monday on email :) bec i already send massage to them about it and maybe they will solve it.

I adding screen how compare transmit Wi-Fi power of BE550v1 vs AX55v1 with same conditions - 2 meter away from router.
BE550v1 its a bit weaker signal on 2,4/5GHz if we compare to ax55v1. But with same -2dBm differences between signal on frequency.
But WIFI 6GH'z frequency its significant weaker.. -10dbi weaker signal than 5GHz.
That shouldn't be like that at all, router cost 300$!!! I know BE550v1 has internal antennas vs external on AX55v1 but TP link on site saying BE550v1 has more coverage 4 bedrooms vs 3 bedrooms (AX55v1) LINK to compare products But with that signal the BE550v1 cover just 2 bedrooms.
I hope that is only a firmware problems... and power of signal will be better or at least 6GHs will back to normal with next update...
edit:
@Marvin_S @Sunshine Please help and send it forward to fix it.

Hi, thanks for posting question on our community.
May I confirm that you are using the beta firmware now, right?
Generally, the lower the frequency the farther a wireless signal can travel. Therefore, devices on a 6GHz network will tend to have a shorter range than those using 2.4GHz/5Ghz. This can be mitigated somewhat with sophisticated antenna technology, but if a given device is relatively far from the wireless access point, you may have better luck connecting via 2.4 GHz/5Ghz.
Also the higher frequency will be more sensitive to obstacle and more attenuation caused when passing through the walls, ceiling, etc due to the relatively poor diffraction.
If you are experiencing a weak WiFi signal with 6Ghz on your router, there are several steps you can take to improve it:
1. Router Placement: Ensure that your router is placed in a central location within your home or office. Avoid placing it near walls, obstructions, or other electronic devices that may interfere with the signal, which will also absorb the wireless signal dramatically
2. Channel Selection: Check the WiFi settings on your router and select a less congested channel with local regulation. This can help reduce interference from neighboring WiFi networks.
And can you share the screenshot of 6Ghz wireless settings?

I use official firmware from site.
About your first question:
BE550v1 its on excaly on same place where AX55v1 was. And BE550v1 - 2,4/5GHz is weaker than AX55v1 signal. So BE550v1 cant cover more than AX55v1 but "specification" say something else. I send above i do test line of sight of 2 meters from the router in both cases. And AX55v1 has stronger antenas.
I also do test on my moblie phone WIFI, and results of BE550v1 its even worst.. its like Be550v1 antenas dont work on full power or just specification is a lie :))
I get emial from TP-link so i will answer there with more photos and talk direct to engineers about the probelms. Becouse its more problems with BE550v1 like usbstorage or missing easymesh functions.
Hope my testing will imporve your products bec i rly like them and use them over 15 years already.

I talk with one of engineers. I send him banch of data and he said signal is not bad. But beta firmware change dBm signal of 5Ghz band and 6ghz band in my case. I paid for router 300$ and im not i stupid customer to who you can say everything is fine and shoudl be like that. Is cleary its not "ok" and not only i have that probelms with BE550v1 signals with devices. I saw other guy here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/669282
Here is my data:

Hello @ChrisBS,
Thank you for the thorough testing details comparing the AX55 and BE550 signals.
The data you've provided will be invaluable as we submit an analysis to our developers.
Before proceeding with the analysis, could we clarify a few more details about the testing setup? Specifically, how was the BE550 positioned during the testing? Ensuring the computers and mobile poco were facing the front panel (with the LEDs) would give the best possible Wi-Fi signal for evaluation.
Based on the pictures and screenshots you've provided, we only see two AX55 devices placed on the windowsill. Is the BE550 also situated in that same location, or was it positioned elsewhere during testing?
Thank you very much.

Hello, thank you for answer :)
Everytimes for both routers was same place/same setup/same range test, just same everything.
When i do my test BE550 the best position for my flat its not front to leds ( was lower signal in my case) but face the left side like on screens what i provided. Like this i had the best coverage what i can got, but still less then AX55.
Btw. Do you know anything about USB storage problems for AX55 and BE550? And when will be fixed that issue? its freaking annoying bug as hell. And more and more clients start complain about it here.
Even more frustrating is.. i take my second AX55 to my other place. and i can't connect to USB storage by internent FTP. But to investigate it I need call first to my other internet provider and ask if they block host ftp on 21 port. If not.. seems just come out other bug on new firmware on AX55 lol. But i will let you know.

I found inside a box of BE550v1 a little card how much dBm should has every band.
BUT WE GO THIS:
In specification we should got:
20dBm power on 2,4GHz band but we got: 18dBm
30dBm power on 5GHz (5470-5725MHz) band but we got: 26dBm
23dBm power on 6Ghz band but we got: 20dBm
That explain why signal is more weak and can cover less than AX55v1.
