Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.5 Build 20231229 Rel. 36756

Hello everyone, today I came here with multiple issues and hopefully I will find here answers.

Intro:

I got 6pcs of Deco P9 nodes to create mesh over house. I got them approx 10-11months ago. I had hard time to setup them back then: because application was glitching, nodes could not be find or even when I created network (added main Deco), no network was shown in the app, so I had to do everything from the start. But when I finally set it up, it was working fine until recent. I did not change anything in the scheme. I just upgraded to the latest firmware version.

Now, I am facing to 2-3 major problems:
1. Nodes randomly disconnect (red light on node), but sometimes, in the app, it appears as online node.

2. In the app, I see nodes as offline, but in reality they are online (white stable light).

3. Nodes are online (white stable light) but without internet (modem from ISP has connection to internet),

Before this case, I had only problem mentioned in point 2, which I was overlooking, as it had no impact to functionality.

But now, it is getting annoying and frustrating. What problem could possibly just randomly pop-up now, after almost year?

Topology screenshots and info from app (sorry for SK language, I wanted to change it to EN but it dropped so I kept it in SK)
Here is list of all devices and type of their connections, when everything is working fine  Here is list of all devices and type of their connections with offline devices, which are actually online (white light) Topology of nodes, where the one which is off is the one that randomly disconnects (red light). When this happens, bottom node names "Pivnica" automatically reconnects to "Obývačka dole".

I hope that I gave you all info needed and thank you in advance for your support.

  @ElPlay

Hi,

According to your description, that the Deco units are unstable.

How often will the drop issue happen? Will all Deco units have the drop issue? Please provide us a more detailed description of how you are connecting your Deco devices. And I notice that you have 6 Deco units but  from the Deco APP screenshot we can only see 5 units in the network.

Hello @Sunshine, thank you for reply. Please find my answers below:

How often will the drop issue happen?

After the firmware update, there is one Deco unit that drops almost every 30-60mins for like 5-20secs, which is short period, but long enough to cause disconnections or connection problems to devices connected to this unit.

Will all Deco units have the drop issue?

In the application, it shows literally randomly which units are off, but from perspective of functionality, this drops occurs only on one unit, or better said on one location. From the pictures, this location is called "Kancelária" (translated as Office) and this Deco is connected to main Deco unit by switch by Ethernet cable. I tried to switch 3 Deco units here and also changed ports on switch and also changed cables, but every time same scenario = frequent drops. However, this wasn't the issue before firmware update.

Please provide us a more detailed description of how you are connecting your Deco devices.
- 2nd floor

• ISP router (Sagemcom F@st 5670) is connected with my main Deco unit in Master bedroom (Hlavná spálňa) via Ethernet cable.

• From main Deco unit, there is switch (TL-SG108E) and to this switch I had connected two Deco units - Living room (Obývačka) and Office (Kancelária) via Ethernet cable. I had to remove Office unit because of these drops.

- 1st floor

• Bottom living room (Obývačka dole) is Deco unit connected via PLC and WiFi (pretty stable) to the main Deco unit.

- Ground floor

• Deco unit named Pivnica (Basement) more-less under the Deco unit from the 1st floor. And again, this unit is connected to the Living room unit via PLC and WiFi.

And I notice that you have 6 Deco units but  from the Deco APP screenshot we can only see 5 units in the network.

I used to have another one Deco unit on 1st floor connected to Living room from the 2nd floor, but I removed it, as I realized, that it was not necessary and I keep this unit as spare backup unit.
