Unable to assign an IP address to the Deco S7 open network from any Android device
When starting with installing a TP-Link Deco S7 AC1900 mesh network, I followed the steps marked in the Deco application. The problem is that the device cannot be detected automatically.
Next step, I tried to connect to the open network that the device has available for manual configuration. However, none of the Android devices I've tested can assign an IP address to the Deco. Therefore, it is impossible to connect to the network and continue with the configuration.
An important point is that when the Ethernet cable is disconnected from the Deco, the cell phones can connect to the device and it is possible to detect the Deco node and continue with the configuration of the mesh network. However, the moment the Ethernet is reconnected, the network is automatically disconnected and the process cannot be completed.
I have tried it with different smartphones and with the second node that I have available, so it works as the main one. Are there any extra settings I need to do on my devices? o Does the router need a certain bridge configuration or another? The Deco turns on normally and the blue LED flashes indicating that it is ready for configuration.
