  @David6479

I asking becouse for me dont working easymesh Ethernet backhaul on this 1.0.10 Build 240618 only work by WiFi. If you can check it right now will be cool :)

If i put 1.0.10 Build 240618 on satellite device (BE550v1) - don't work easymesh WiFi or Ethernet backhail when i try active it. All the time device reset to factory settings and main device dont see it.

And this explain a lot - my previous issue with this firmware when i install this 1.0.10 Build 240618 without factory reset/configurationon on main Router.

My config is set for easymesh Ethernet backhoul environment and seems 1.0.10 Build 240618 miss somehow a Ethernet backhaul in my case, thats why all start work unstable and my network connection fail when i upgrade without a factory settings on main router :)

My network with last beta:

2x BE550v1 firmware: 1.0.9 Build 20240429, AX55v1: 1.3.2 Build 20240325

ONT (PPPoE connection) +  BE550v1 (main) + connected in Easymesh Ethernet backhaul BE550v1 (satellite) + AX55v1 (satellite) connected with Ethernet backhaul too.

My netowork when i use new beta firmware with factory restore before upgrade on both BE550v1

 2x BE550v1 firmware 1.0.10 Build 240618, AX55v1: 1.3.2 Build 20240325

ONT (PPPoE connection) +  BE550v1 (main) + don't work Easymesh WiFi/Ethernet backhaul BE550v1 (satellite) + AX55v1 (satellite) with Ethernet backhaul dont work, only work easymesh WiFi.

My netowork when i use new beta firmware without factory restore on 1x BE550v1

1x BE550v1 firmware 1.0.10 Build 240618, 1x BE550v1 firmware: 1.0.9 Build 20240429, AX55v1: 1.3.2 Build 20240325

ONT (PPPoE connection fail or unstable) +  BE550v1 (main) work unstable + BE550v1 (satellite) work unstable + AX55v1 (satellite) work unstable.

  @ChrisBS Well I did the test with the ethernet backhaul while on 1.0.10 and I have good and bad news. The bad news is there is NO good news!. connecting the ethernet to my AX73 Satelite completely destroyed my Wi-Fi. The ethernet port registers from the BE550 as being connected but in Easy mesh it is still in Wi-Fi mode but the whole menu felt sluggish on checking devices. After that regardles what you do it stays slow, disconnecting the easy mesh does nothing becuase all my Wi-Fi speeds still took a nose dive and I was getting 10 or so Mbs. Any LAN connections I had still had a good solid 900Mbs on Fast.com but the Wi-Fi was destroyed. The only thing to fix it was a factory reset, my first with a few hard reboots. The whole Wi-Fi I'd say was corrupted and completely useless, even loading on previous saved settings did not fix it, had to be a factory reset.

Anyway I have moved onto the beta 1.0.9 firmware you sent me. My Easymesh is still off and will maybe enable it later and connect the ethernet on that firmware.

Luckily a took photos of my settings and port forwarding just in case, which I'm glad about now.

On a more positive side the Network analizer for the first time actually worked on this 1.0.9 so it's something.

EDIT: Connected up my AX73 via Ethernet backhaul and running fine on 1.0.9. I did have to reset it though and go through the setup again. Until I do some cable managment on that ethernet cable I'm having to use powerline adaptors for the backhaul, not ideal but seems to be working and alot more tidy. I know we are beta testing these firmwares but who is actually taking notes from TP-Link because I'm not seeing anyone else on here. Is this thread the place to report it?

Is anyone able to share 1.0.9 with me? I'd like to test it before reverting back to the public firmware.

I've tried the firmware provided in this thread and had more WiFi dropouts than the most up to date public firmware 🙃🙃🙃

Thanks.

  @David6479

Yeah, that is good news that you recreated my problems. And sorry for that! But im glad its not my imagination LOL

Today Senior Technical Support wrote me they are working on a new firmware and asking me about more details about problems to recreate it.

But I already sent to him this topic, so he can read our problems," with all details.

BTW. It's very weird that the BE550v1 is over 8 months on the market and every firmware has new bugs. Or after one gets fixed, two new bugs pop up.

Tp-Link really needs to do with that something. Because already we become free beta testers for our own products, which we pay $300 each. LOL

 I see the beta firmware for the BE550 has been removed. Is there any time frame for when "soon" is for a new beta?

  @Holty88 Ah, so it has. One for today would be nice, even if it was the same firmware but fixed Ethernet backhaul.

  @ChrisBS It's realy a mater of prospective mate. I mean 90% of people who purchase the BE550 probably won't even notice the problems and will most likely blame their ISP if they do. I am currently testing Beta system software on the PS5 and Beta firmware on iOS 18 (previously did 17) and in the past I did betas for Windows 10 insider for the duration until consumer release and also Oculus Rift DK2, also don't get me started on Nvidia drivers. So going by experiance I can garentee that even the next four firmwares for the BE550 will still have problems, it's just whether they affect that perticular user. There are bugs and glitches and there are crippeling bugs and glitches, that ethernet backhaul on the 1.0.10 was the latter, If you hadn't asked me to connect that ethernet up I would't have notice much else with the beta because it ran for me not too bad for the short time and on the setup I have on offer, one device 6E no Wi-Fi 7 the rest 2.4/5

I really don't have a great deal of knowledge in networking with this being the first time I have ever really looked into it but even on this 1.0.9 I'm getting my full 900Mbs download speed with my devices being around 80% ethernet connections, I realy don't have much to complain.

For me personally I like testing them but I'm in no great rush.

If anything I'm more annoyed there is no spell check in these reply to message box!

  @David6479

When new beta come out. I will test everything and do compare to previous firmwares and other  TP- Link devices. I use my home network also for work that's why for me all have to work stable and specification need meet for what we pay. I use over 15years TP-link product and this is first time they so f**kup. Quality/tester team fail so much. But at least we can help make them a good final product.
