Hello.

I have 3 Deco XE75 Pro's and around 45 devices connected to my network, many of which are 2.4ghz devices.

I have 5 ip KASA Cam wireless cameras around my house, and now wanted to add a NVR to record those cameras, but when i connect my nvr (frigate), specifically with go2rtc stream setup, MANY IoT devices disconnect every 2 - 5 minutes or so (TP link smart outlets, ESP32 devices, etc). Within 1 minute of the container starting, devices begin to disconnect. Within 10 secs of the containers stopping, all devices come back online and stay connected. I use Home Assistant and really want 100% up-time. Upgrading from Google Nest Wifi (Older generatrion) and had no issues with them.

Hope someone can help me cause I really can not understand it.

Thank you.

  @TheFalseReality I was given a soon-to-be-relieased firmware that seems to help with the 2.4GHz channels on the Deco devices. It played havoc with my Zigbee network as well, but after changing channels, the interferance seemed to be negliable.

  @TheFalseReality

Before this, I bought an Archer Router, same issue. I returned it for these Deco units.

  @TheFalseReality

connecting cameras via wifi is a very bad idea

if you want stability use ethernet cable

also in the 2.4GHZ range everything is very bad with the air, and even a switched on microwave oven can completely lower this wireless range

for clients use 5GHZ, for TVs, cameras - ethernet cable and then there will be no problems

  @Godlike66

Yes from now on, since I want to have a robust Frigate NVR system, I will look into wried cameras for that purpose
