TL-WPA4220 download speed capped at 10Mbps
Hi, I've got a TL-WPA4220 V5 AV600 that appears to be capped at 10Mbps for all connected devices. Is there a fix? I just updated the firmware version and that didn't help. Am I missing something obvious?

Hi @Joseph-TP ,
I've replaced the Netgear adapter as it was legacy hardware and out of support.
The new adapter model is TL-PA4010P V5. The speeds now appear uncapped. Thanks for your help in diagnosing this issue.

Hi
If you're experiencing low speed issues when connected to a TP-Link powerline device, there are several potential factors and troubleshooting steps you can take:
1. Check powerline adapters' placement: Ensure that the powerline adapters are plugged directly into a wall outlet and not into power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords.
2. Test different electrical outlets and move them into the same room for comparison.
3. Check powerline rates between the powerline devices via tpPLC utility/App, you could refer to this FAQ to understand the difference between powerline rate and actual internet speed: Explanation about the Powerline Rate and Actual speed of the Powerline Adapters
If the powerline rate is too low, refer to this FAQ to see if it will be better: What can I do if my powerline rate is very low?
4. If the wired speed is normal, only wireless connection is slow, please try to change the Wi-Fi channel and channel width on the powerline extender.
5. Check available firmware updates and ensure the powerline adapter and extender are both using the latest firmware.

Thanks @Joseph-TP
Here's what I've done so far.
1. I've checked powerline adapters' placement. It is plugged into a wall outlet not into power strip, or extension cord
2. It is not tested in other electrical outlets. I will try this as well when I next get an opportunity
3. Please see below for a screenshot of the tpPLC Utility/App giving the powerline rate as >50 Mbps to the device (Device_a0d4)
4. I have not checked the wired speed. My devices do not have ethernet ports
I do not want to change the Wi-Fi channel or channel width on the powerline extender without guidance. Can you please advise?
5. I applied the latest firmware updates to the extender (Device_a0d4) yesterday

Hi @Joseph-TP
I have tested the device in another electrical outlet. There is no difference. The rate still appears to be capped. The tpPLC Utility/App is still giving the powerline rate as >50 Mbps to the device (Device_a0d4) in the alternate electrical outlet

Hi @Joseph-TP
I have checked the wired speed from a device with an ethernet port. There is no difference from either of the TL-WPA4220 V5 ethernet sockets. The rate still appears to be capped. The tpPLC Utility/App is still giving the powerline rate as >50 Mbps to the device (Device_a0d4)

Hi
According to the utility screenshot, it seems that you have three powerline devices at home. Please move the mouse to the adapter which is connected to the router via wire and click it. Then the arrows from the adapter to the other two extenders and the powerline rate will appear on the utility page. Actual speed could be around 30% of the powerline rate, and limited and by the speed received from router.
If possible, please provide a screenshot of the powerline rate. (The arrow should be from adapter to extender)

Thanks @Joseph-TP , The adapter which is connected to the router via wire is a Netgear device. It does not provide any detail in the tpPLC Utility/App. The only option available when clicking it is Rename.
