Connection of secondary DECO
Hi Team,
I have a curiousity question. My system is currently performing well, but I’m always on the lookout for ways to improve speed and performance—such is the life of someone with ADHD. 🫤
Currently, I have the Main DECO connected to the modem via a Cat8 Ethernet cable. Throughout my house, I have access points in the wall that allow direct connection to the modem. My question is: would the speed transmitted from the other DECOs in the house be improved if they were also connected directly to the modem via Cat8 Ethernet cables?
Here’s my setup:
- NBN: FTTP (750/42.5Mbps)
- TP-Link Archer VR2800: Connected to the NBN Box via a Cat8 Ethernet cable.
- Main DECO: DECO X50 (Downstairs Living room)
- DECO X50 (Upstairs Gaming room)
- DECO M5 (Upstairs Main bedroom)
- DECO M5 (Downstairs Garage)
I hope I’ve explained this properly.
Thanks
