Hello,

My Deco M5 degrades my router speed and i'm trying to resolve it. Will greatly appreciate any inputs.

My network:

1. Internet via Fiber. It's a 200 Mbps connection from Airtel India. I stand next to this router, do an Okla speedtest and i get both Download and upload speeds around 220 Mbps.

2. Connect the above Airtel router to M5 main, via cable. It's a CAT6 cable, and both are next to each other. Again do a speedtest as above but download speeds are around 130-140 MBps. Upload speeds aren't degraded.

I've tried the following:

1. changed all the network cables

2. Optimized deco network from app

3. QOS - set upload and download to 1000 Mbps

4. DIsable UPNP and SIP ALG.

5. Deco is on latest firmware 1.7.8 build 20240719 Rel. 70981

6. Tried both router mode and AP mode.

7. disabled 2.4 ghz network on deco to ensure it's only 5 Ghz network

8. Replaced main deco with satellite deco and setting that to main

9. Tried a different broadband connection (JIO). Similar results.

Is this a normal degradation? If not, what else can i do?

If this is normal, will it improve if i upgraded M5 to say X60?
