Video playback issues on Android devices with Deco XE75
I am experiencing issues with video playback on my Android devices when connected to a TP-Link Deco XE75 mesh router.
Problem:
When using video streaming apps like TVer or Amazon Prime Video on my Android devices (Google Pixel 7 Pro, Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, XGIMI Horizon), the videos fail to start and time out. This issue is specific to Android devices connected to the Deco XE75, as I have tested with other routers ( including the Archer C9) and iOS devices without encountering the same problem.
(TVer is a free Japanese streaming service that lets you watch TV shows you missed on terrestrial television.)
Troubleshooting:
I have tried various troubleshooting steps, including:
- Restarting the router and devices
- Clearing app cache
- Resetting network settings
- Replacing the main Deco unit
- Adjusting Deco settings (default, priority, mesh off)
Environment:
- Router: TP-Link Deco XE75 (Firmware version 1.2.9, Rev 2.0JP)
- Network: Fiber optic (nuro)
I have contacted TP-Link support in Japan, but they were unable to provide a solution.
I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue.
