Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I've got my home internet connection set up via mobile internet using a 5g antenna and standard modem/router, both provided by the ISP.

Everything works fine when I'm using my ISP router for wifi. But after setting up my wifi with a Deco 3 piece, the antenna would switch off and back on again approx. 5-10 times a day. Especially when I turn on my PC or laptop and it connects to the deco wifi network. I've had my ISP change  both their router and the 5g antenna 2 times, and as mentioned, everything works fine when I'm using wifi via the ISP supplies router. But as soon as I turn on deco wifi, it starts messing with the antenna and everything stalls. This is especially annoying in the evening when watching TV.

I've turned of dynamic DHCP on the deco, the ISP router handles IP adresses and I have reserved three IP adresses on the router for the deco mesh devices. The deco itself is in AP mode.

If I don't fiy this the deco is going back.

Any thoughts?

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know who your internet service provider is?

"my home internet connection set up via mobile internet using a 5g antenna and standard modem/router"

Do you mean the internet connection, like "Fixed Wireless Access"(https://www.verizon.com/about/blog/fixed-wireless-access)?

Is the main Deco XE75 the only device that is connected to the ISP standard modem/router? Or would there be a network switch and other wired devices?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

hello.

thanks for your reply.

my ISP is T-com in Croatia (subsidiary of german Deutsche telekom.

i do mean like fixed wireless access, just didn't know that was the formal term. So not a wired connection (like DSL or optic), but using the same mobile network used by cell phones. That's why the antenna is needed.

"Is the main Deco XE75 the only device that is connected to the ISP standard modem/router?" -

yes. The main deco is the only device hard wired to the ISP modem/router.

Waiting for your reply.

thanks

  @mraw

Thanks for the update.

I'd like to escalate your case to the senior engineers for further assistance.

Please check whether you have received my email.

By the way, please try to reply to the email with the model number of the 5G antenna and standard modem/router.

Thank you again and best regards.
