Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi,

Deco BE65 is said to support wifi 7 / BE on 2,4GHz band on hardware version 2, vs not on v1.

How about BE550, is it a hardware limitation on it also, or could BE550 receive the 2,4 be support with a firmware update? Afaik there is no hw v2 for BE550?

@Pertti71

Thank you for asking the community.

Archer BE550 V1 doesn't support 2.4G when using the MLO Network. I assume it's a hardware limitation and it cannot be supported by firmware update.

I cannot say for sure whether hardware V2 will support this feature, as it has not yet been developed.

Thanks, It would be nice to get a real solid confirmation to a question like this though, could you ask eg. from product development about it? How could it be that one band has been somehow has been overlooked to not support wifi 7? Yet in the router box there is even a photo of Wifi 7 MLO including all three bands?
