WDS upgrade options
Hello,
I'm currently using two tp-link routers - my main router is Archer A7 and second is Archer C6. I'm using wds mode to connect and extend network - it works very good i'm getting about 400 mbit speeds. Lately i upgraded my network connection speed to 2gbit and wanted to upgrade my hardware to speed up things a little bit. Here's my current setup.
Archer A7 is located in my main room and getting internet via ethernet cable. Archer C6 is in another room (can't get cable in there ). C6 is in AP mode creating a wifi network. Archer A7 has enabled WDS 5ghz network and is connecting to C6 network (sharing internet ). I was wondering how can i upgrade my hardware to reach better speeds. I was thinking of Archer BE230 as a main router( as it gots 2x 2.5gbit ports) and for second room i was thinking of Archer ax53 ( both have wifi 6 160mhz ). There is no emulator for BE230 (can't find it) and documentation is not stating anything for WDS. My requirements are:
Main router 2x2.5gbit ports + wifi6 160mhz + parental control+ WDS(or any other mode that won't turn off router mode)
Secondary router: 1x 2.5gbit wan/lan port wifi 6 160mhz + WDS/ AP mode
I just need to share my internet over wifi as fast as possible to second location. Any tips ? solutions ?
