Hi,

I got a WD cloud mirror NAS attached to the LAN port of my TP link deco, but it is not recognised. In Network Maps - Clients, it does not show up no matter what I try. How can this be? NAS access is very important for me.

Edit: My setup is stupendously easy: The TP Link acts as main router (Sim Card -> Internet), the WD NAS is directly attached to it, and several other devices need to access both WLAN and NAS.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit 2: I found the solution! The NAS had a static IP assigned be the previous router which did not match the IP standards of the TP Link deco, hence it couldn't be accessed.

SOLUTION:

- Step 1: Reset the NAS: Keep the reset button on the backside of the NAS device pressed using a sharp device for 5 seconds. The NAS will reboot after that.

- Step 2, once NAS reboot is complete: Assign a new static IP to your NAS within the TP-Link deco app: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1795/

Done.

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.

I'm sure it would be very inspiring for other users who are troubled by a similar issue.

Best regards.
