Disappointed with Firmware Rollout Frequency

I want to express my growing frustration with the frequency (or lack thereof) of firmware updates for the XE75 Pro (XE75PRO).
For a product in this price range, I expected a more proactive approach to rolling out updates that address performance issues, optimize features, and fix reported bugs. Regular firmware updates are a basic expectation to ensure long-term value and performance.
It feels like the current update schedule isn’t keeping pace with user feedback or market competition. Issues like poor channel optimization and instability after updates have been widely reported, yet these concerns seem to persist without resolution.
I hope TP-Link takes this feedback seriously and commits to a more consistent and transparent update process going forward.
Is anyone else experiencing similar frustrations? I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts.

@CyberHavoc9017 LOL my older X50-4G has not received any update in more than a year. Quietly being pushed to end of life despite it being relatively new, but still sold in the market.
Gave TP-Link a chance and upgraded to the newer X50-5G. And the device gave me hell. Kept going down multiple times a day, choking all the time. And after the recent major update, it now shows what the main culprit has been ... which is the CPU usage maxing out at 100% all day long and memory usage above 80% all the time.
Subsequent firmware updates and beta releases that promised to fix the issue have not improved anything.
What a let down. I'm givng up and moving to Ubiquiti. Waiting for my last piece of Ubiquiti Unifi U6 Pro to arrive to complete the migration.

@OzPatricio same here. Been using TP-Link for many years now ... with the MR400, MR600, Deco X50-4G, Deco X50 and now Deco X50-5G.
Finally giving up. I guess TP-Link deserves to be slammed by the US government for such terrible firmware support and security fixes.

I have the XE75 Pro V2 and faced the same issues as you.. I will also be jumping to another brand because I don't agree that the latest iterations of a product do not receive the same treatment as earlier iterations (v1 vs v2) This is especially frustrating due to no having a choice of which iteration being purchased e.g. I cannot see or choose the V1 over a V2 when buying from TP Link directly or 3rd party resellers.
Could you advise which product/brand you have moved to?

@JohnnyBoy I agree wholeheartedly with you (and all others in this thread). To name but a few gripes:
1) The numbering scheme is bewildering and misleading. X60 was promised a firmware upgrade years ago that would enable the user to choose which DECO should connect to which DECO. Only some versions have received such an upgrade recently. My three version 2's have not, despite promises that "X60" would get it.
2) I also have XE200s and X90s and the frequency of firmware updates is pedestrian to put it mildly despite being TP-Link's top notch products. TP-Link acts like a "fly by night" company: Sell the hardware and immediately forget about it.
I have given up on TP-Link and advise everyone to look elsewhere. I have no trust in the company nor product security due to the lack of frequent firmware updates.

Hi, Deco X60_V2 is end of life now, and here is a beta firmware for Deco X60_V2 that supports customizing the signal source. If you want to test this version, I can share it later via private message.
A new 1.4.0 for Deco X90 was released a few weeks ago, and you can find more details here:
Deco X90_1.4.0 Added WiFi Access Control, ECO Mode and More
Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks, David. I would like a link to the beta for X60 version 2. My three X60s have never worked in anything but a traditional star configuration despite the "intelleligence". The 1.4.0 firmware for the X90, I installed when I saw you mentioning it in a post a while back. I am still looking for news about the XE200.

@CyberHavoc9017 It's amazing how we are now in the month of May and the issue has not been fixed since mid last year.
What a sham of a company. It keeps product lifecycle short while increasingly pushing new models out which look kinda similar to many existing models available.
Then also push products to end of life so fast without even bothering to fix bugs and problems users faced.
Regret spending so much over the years for TP-Link. Still waiting for my X50-4G and X50-5G to be fixed. Been abysmal going down repeatedly daily.
