Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.8 Build 240606

Hello all,

 

I have a holiday house some 3000km from where I live, where I have 4 C520WS camera's running through ethernet on an Omada network.

 

2 of the camera's are still very much working, but the other 2, I accidentally removed in the Tapo app.

 

Is there a possibility of reconnecting them through the internet? Or do i have to be present at the location?

Hi,
Removing the camera from the Tapo app means factory resetting the camera. To reconfigure the camera, your phone and the camera should be on the same network.

Hi,
Removing the camera from the Tapo app means factory resetting the camera. To reconfigure the camera, your phone and the camera should be on the same network.

That means I'll have to get on a plane to reconnect them! :(

No way to do this through the Omada network to which the cameras are connected through UTP?

Hi,
The phone is required to be on the same network as the camera when configuring it, and it's unable to configure the camera through the Omada network.
