Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.13.15 Build 240812 Rel.53634n(5553)

Hello TP-Link Community,

I’m experiencing a disturbing issue with my Archer C80 V1.0 router after updating to the firmware version 1.13.15 Build 240812 Rel.53972n(5553).

Before this update, I was getting excellent, speed, range on both the line. However, since the update, I’ve noticed that the 2.4GHz range has drastically decreased, and the performance is no longer as good. I use a 140Mbps line, out of which while download speed in speed test touches 140-147 but upload speed don't even cross 90.

I don't know if I am not the only one facing this issue, but It seems to be a widespread issue among users after this particular firmware update.

I purchased my router 3-4 years back, but it was not in use due to shifted to other state,, but everything was working fine before the update. Now, after upgrading to firmware 1.13.15, I am facing these issues.

Even MU-MIMO settings dont appear in wifi settings.

Can anyone suggest if it's possible to downgrade to the previous version or if there’s an upcoming update that will fix this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Kindly release an update to solve this issue.

Regard,

Tirthankar

Hi  @Tirtha801,

Are you saying that the 2.4Ghz coverage and speed have deteriorated after the firmware update? Is the 5Ghz speed normal? Did you test the 2.4Ghz speed of the your ISP device?

There are some suggestions may help you:
Change Wi-Fi channels:
Use your router's settings to switch to a less crowded channel. Consider using a Wi-Fi analyzer app to find the best channel.
Reduce interference:
Move your router away from other electronic devices that may cause interference. Consider moving it to a more central location in your home.
Adjust bandwidth settings:
In your router settings, make sure you are using the best bandwidth setting for 2.4GHz (20MHz or 40MHz) for your environment.

Please install the previous version Archer C80(US)_V1_1.13.2 Build 230824, then refer to the FAQ below to update firmware manually:
