Model: Deco X10
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.5

Hello All,

We just changed ISPs to Community Fibre. Previously our Deco Mesh Wifi was working fine under Sky broadband but we were getting 10mbps performance.

When I try and enter the static ip address for the new modem into the Deco app it lets me enter all the fields (IP, Subnet, Gateway, DNS) but then when I hit save it says "something went wrong. Try again later".

Have rebooted both modem and deco multiple times but can't seem to get past this point and have a persisting red light on the Router.  Any ideas as to why the app is not accepting the ip addresss?

Wayne

  @WayneMJ

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you tried to use "Dynamic IP" as the internet connection type?

And the latest firmware for Deco X10_V1 is 1.1.7 Build 20240911. It is also suggested to manually update the current firmware to 1.1.7 first:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-x10/#Firmware

How to update the firmware via web UI(method 2): How to Update the Firmware of Deco

Thank you very much and best regards.
