@David-TP No offense, but some of the minor issues introduced in 12 and 13 were not really minor. The one user posted about ethernet backhaul being totally broken.

New features in 1.2 sound great...but only if everything works properly. How are you/the devs working to ensure that there are no new major issues introduced?

Are all of the previously reported bugs being addressed? Weak 2.4 band? Poor IOT performance? Dropped clients? And the myriad of other issues reported in this very thread spanning from 11 through 13.....

TP-Link should create a proper beta testing and bug reporting system. Allow (perhaps select) community members to actively participate AND file bug reports into an official tracking system.

Or, even simpler, stop spreading yourselves and your devs too thin. Focus on the products you release instead of flooding the market with unncessary variation.

  @XWEBNetwork

Yes a bug tracker would be a good idea...

  @XWEBNetwork

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

From my perspective, during the beta tests, the recurring feedback is likely due to the firmware upgrade. A single user report may not definitively point to the latest firmware, even though the issue started right after the update. I have observed similar instances where the problem persists even after reverting to the previous version. So I think the underlying issue predated the upgrade, and the firmware or any system adjustment would be the last straw. We still appreciated this kind of feedback, but to fix it, more time and operation are required with the users, as this kind of issue usually can't be easily reproduced in the lab environment..

The ongoing forum testing is more like a quality assurance step before the official release. Most of the tested versions are pretty mature. Users can manually download it before waiting for the official release, as the latter rolls out in stages( e.g., 1%-->3%-->10%, then 30% and more). If a critical issue was identified, there is still time to halt the release process.

There were file bug reports in an official tracking system, and they are mainly used by the R&D department. Some regions also launch their local beta programs and recruit beta testers. However, in the /en sites, different regions, network discrepancies, as well as time differences are involved. We still need a more appropriate and efficient way.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Hi All,

The next 1.2.0 has been uploaded here:

Deco BE85 1.2.0 Enhanced Mesh Backhaul Stability and Device Roaming Experience

We highly recommend updating to the latest version first, and we genuinely value any feedback you may have.

This post will be temporarily closed, and I look forward to seeing you again on the 1.2.0 thread.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
