Binding IP address to Mac Address does not work well

L.S.
Several times my router does not give the reserved IP-address to a device that is registrated with its Mac address and IP-address in the Binding list.
it does give another IP-address. That address is unique. DHCP works well. So there is no conflict. But is not the reserved address from the binding list.
Ik took me quite some time to administer all the devices on my network: Streamer, TV's, smartphones, camera's, my energy system (Sessy homebattery and Smart energy meter). But it seems that I have to do it all over again.
My router is always on standby. That cannot be the problem.
- Why the router does not give via DHCP the reserved IP addresses from the binding list to my devices?
- Is this a Known Problem?
So I upgrade my Archer to 1.1.4 Build 20240529 rel.41435(4555) and I hope that it is working properly now.
It would be a waste of money to buy another router. I am rather satisfied with the WiFi coverage of this router.
P.S.

Hi,
Pardon me for jumping into the conversation, but I notice that you always say binding list (or bindlist), which is the term used by TP-Link for the list in the "IP & MAC Binding" menu.
So I'd just like to confirm that you did add your devices under "Address Reservation" in the DHCP menu, right?

@woozle Thanks for your comment on my question. There is indeed nothing wrong with the Archer C2300 V2. I misunderstood how DHCP works. I now use the Address Resevation table for certain devices to keep their IP address from DHCP. The Bindlist speeds up IP ARP requests and ensures that no other device can spoof an IP address.
Again thanks for your comment.

Hi, is it just 1 device that is causing the issue, could it be that the MAC address is being randomized each time of connecting to the router?

@Muffinman thanks for reaction.
No it is not only 1 device; there are more devices which IP address is changed despite their mac-address is registrated in the bindlist. And their mac-addresses are not being randomized.
So after the update of the firmware I will renew the bindlist with the new IP-addresses.
I hope that the devices will receive their reserved IP-address and keep it.
If the router persists in ignoring the bindlist, then unfortunately I will consider another router. I hope this problem can be solved

@paulreus I have a similar problem with my setup (AX1800 and RE550 extender) As some devices don't connect to 5gHz the RE550 has 5Ghz turned off. The Smart Connect feature on the AX1800 is also off with different names for 2.4 and 5 Ghz channels. All software is latest versions available. Some of my devices are of critical importance so need fixed IP addresses.. Like you I get some of these devices connecting to different IP addresses even though ALL are setup with IP& Mac binding (which means that I then get frequent connection problems ) should I also setup Address reservations for these as well??

Hi,
IP & MAC Binding is a security feature. If a network device is listed in the Binding List, then the router will forward data packets from or to that device only if it has the correct (i.e. legitimate) combination of IP address and MAC address.
IP & MAC Binding does not help you assign IP addresses to your client devices.
